In this example an FM (Frequency Modulation) modulator and de-modulator are made to transmit audio along a transmission line.

When you speak into the soundcard mic input the sound is modulated into a carrier frequency, then de-modulated and fed through a LPF (Low Pass Filter) to re-create the original.

You could use this method to transmit an audio signal along a single twisted pair of wires over a long distance with out any interference.

This is also useful to show students how a radio works!
