PS3 controller?

Postby nix » Sat Dec 04, 2010 1:22 am

Hey, can I use a game controller to input control data?
I would like to make a game similar to sony wipeout.
I have found programs to convert game controller to mouse, but it would be neater to just load my flowstone app.
Cheers, all success

OK i have found this is in development. I will look at wii controllers, although I would like to use PS3 ones.
Thank you outsim!

You can use the X box 360 controller.

Postby nix » Sun Feb 06, 2011 5:53 am

Can I make a feature request, that PS3 controllers could be supported?
It is the one I would prefer, just I like the control layout.
Thank you!
It would be fun to build games I think.
Ta exo, i checked them and found I would prefer the PS3

on my pc where Flowstone is installed, every gamepad i connect is recognized by Flowstone's ps2 module(tried this with thrustmaster run 'n' drive, logitech dual action, generic ps2 gamepad), but when the exe is used on other systems it doesn't work.
There should be some system file installed by Flowstone that is needed for this, but i have had not time to investigate.

there is also a problem with more than one controller.
At the moment i don't see a feature to choose which controller to use(same with wiimote and xbox 360 modules).

I need to bump this.
I prefer PS3 controllers,
I tried the LynxPS2 module on net ready computer,
and although the connected bool switches,
none of the parameters work.
The driver for the controller auto-installed.
Thanks!
In the meantime I'll find a PS2 controller.

Hey Sal,
I just tested a PS1 controller with USB adapter,
and it works as a standalone on both my systems.
IDK, but did you hit the connect trigger in you exported .exe?
Still looking for PS3 connectivity,
it is a hassle to get an adapter, although they are only 5 dollars.
I understand Outsim will have to write a driver,
Sony doesn't want us to be Microsoft compatible I think.

edit-how can we use 2 controllers?
I have only 1 adapter atm, so can't test,
but is this possible?
