Posted: Sun Aug 20, 2017 3:49 pmYes, it is very simple. VSTi (instruments) must have a midi inputs only. If the plugin has a mono stream input it is automatically a VST effect, even if it additionally has midi input. You can turn any VSTi schematic into VST effect by adding dummy mono output to them.
