Greysynth 2

Postby billv » Thu Sep 16, 2021 10:16 am

Greetings :) The original idea for Greysynth, was to route the modulators straight into the knobs,
so I thought I give it a go. Have fun :D

This is remarkable! :o

I see it’s at version 0.1 so I can’t wait to see it grow. At the moment I would need a user guide to check everything out, but the modulation aspect looks very impressive indeed.

Well done and thank you for sharing your work.

Can you explain a bit how it works ? Is this FM or what kind of synth is it ? I tried to extend the total number of presets to 256 but everything went out of control. All the knobs were moving on their own with no way to reset it. And it really needs a better user interface. This UI would not work in 4K.

It works by focusing on Control Systems, Sequencing and Automation.
The syth itself is very basic- just 2 wav osc's and noise osc----filter--env--fx.
The only strange thing is your piano/kbd controller is not used. the sequencer does that.
The trigger matrix is when all the fun happens, where you can turn things on or off
via automation across the timeline. The modulators are routed directly into the knobs.
It should have a tutorial...and a better general explanation..please forgive my laziness

My stuff tends to want to incorporate lots of features- but I too suffer from documentation/GUI fatigue by the eventual time everything's sounding the way I'd actually like it to sound ;) ...
