Quilcom Snake: A stereo multi-tap delay

Hello world!

Here's Mr. Spogg's take on a multi-tap delay effect unit.

I spent some happy hours trying various routings out and I think I got it down to what's useful and/or interesting while being as easy to use and understand as I could make it. I had fun making the 30 presets which illustrate some of what's possible with such a thing but here's a few notes anyway:

There are two 5-stage delay snakes.
Each stage links to the next, like in a snake.
Each stage has an internal feedback knob. Delay can be set for each stage or use the SET ALL knobs.
The SET ALL knobs only work smoothly in the VST (included in the zip).
Each stage has a "Send" knob which goes to the output system.
In both snakes there are 4 additional feedback knobs (FB -2 to FB -5), setting feedback from each stage, apart from Stage 1, and they all feedback into the input of the delay snake.
The FB -R and FB -L knobs set feedback level from the other snake, from its final output (pre-fader).
The 2 LFOs can be mixed to either snake, or both. They control the delay time deviation for each snake.
To make a 10 stage snake (fed from the Left input) turn down the "In Right" knob then turn up the "FB -L" knob for the Right snake. This links the Right snake input to the output of the Left snake (pre-fader). Then turn the "Mono-Stereo" knob to Mono. Check out some of the presets for 10 stage effects.

Be careful with feedback levels because there are additive effects with levels. So you may have to reduce feedback settings elswhere if you increase a feedback knob. Use the KILL button if things get out of hand.

Have fun and I expect lots of feedback

Cheers

Hello Spogg,

WOW, I love it. I knew you would out do me. Delays and flanging are my 2 favorite effects. This delay is very well done and has some really nice presets. Really good work Spogg! End less settings. Again wow, just super. Keep it up.....

Hope to have my LT2Delay out soon and with some presets this time. Just busy with our Thanksgiving holiday, Christmas around the corner, and babysitting.

Later then, BobF.....
