Yes, in a sound processing or generating app the most important thing is the sound!
In my view optimisation is a great idea, just as long as the sound itself isn’t compromised. For example, I would never choose a slightly inferior sounding filter just because it used half the CPU.
When I tested out this graphic eq I only used my ears, and even though I’m not capable of discerning the subtleties, I did like what I heard.
But I must say I feel a bit ashamed that I didn’t think about the lack of a preset manager so the settings could be saved with the song.
