My new synth is out now.
I made it from Synthemaker, then i switched and added some stuff from FS. It's about 2 years that i started to thinking and building it.

To give a look here:

I may give free licenses for SM/FS devs who contact me in Private. ;)

For that synth, i've also made an automatic protection system.
The processor dont run in green at all.
It use a php script to register, check payment challanges, retrive response; Al that directly inside the plugin communicating with the serve via POST. (if you are interested u can contact me)

Congrats on finishing it..
Is there a demo version maybe..?
would like to give it a run...
What about a 'time-limited' demo that explodes after 10 min of use... :D

I've not really made a bomb inside the demo!

It's just 20 minutes timer, then shut-off with a selector. Reset of plugin reset the demo counter too. :P

You can test drive it by downloading it:

did you also optimized the demo version?

stock presets need up to 70 %cpu on my test machine (amd e300a radeon hd 130ghz 4gb ram) tested in renoise 2.8, i know it not e very good machine but no other plugin needs more than 30% on this machine..

Hiya! ive given it a wee try today!

on my i7 3.6ghz ,32ghz ram machine, in cubase it gave me a reading of around 22% increased cpu, quite high for a single synth as most things i use show negligable cpu hits, one thing i noticed was the large hits from the demo seemed to be coming from the demo noise gen, it whacks right up to around 34% at times! sounds good though!

It looks quite handsome! though i would like a different colour around the knobs for better contrast, it hurts my old eyes trying to see the rings, or maybe even a little wider rings! nice little synth though! hope you can get the cpu hit down! denormals?

Best Regards!

will try it out on a few other hosts after dinner! :)

The reduction has not been made to the Demo version..
There was a little problem with EQ in v 1.0 that automatically get from 8 to 15% (i7 3770k!) of CPU while idle. So bad.

i made some optimizations and CPU reduction, but this synth could get alot of CPU for some settings.
When you run "Spread" it will use 1 + 4 OSC at one for any single OSC. So if you both use spread on OSC 1 and OSC 2 u are using 10 OSC.
Other thing really consuming is the unison, but it's normal.

My work on updates should be based on CPU usage reductions since i know that this synth could get high values.

In my i7 3770k i got about 25 to max peak 40% using 4 instances with different settings (unison and spread on).

Register the website so i can give some free licensing and use it with less CPU of last updates. ;)

Thanks!

Any suggestion to troubleshoot denormals? (i.e. When they occours, how to recognize them..)

It's still missing some mono4 packs for mono stream, global check for denormals, some optimization in the routine.

Denormals become evident after a period of some seconds after the synth has seemingly stopped making any sound.
So with host engine running, play a note, then watch task manager after the note has stopped. IMO, if you wait 30 sec, u can be sure there are no denormals if cpu doesn't rise. I have seen, from like 1% at idle immediately after the note dies, the denormals will start about 5 seconds later and give some 5-10% CPU use.

Troubleshooting them has been annoying for me, but maybe I would be better at it now. You can use readouts to see numbers that are very close to 0, that's ur best bet. The standard method for removing them is to add a miniscule amount of noise, but perhaps if you find any, also you can change the component that causes it is the best way.

Fair play man, I know these things take such a long time to do, hope u can get some amazing sounds out of it 8D
