2SYNts- regular guitar to poly synth
Re: 2SYN-hex MIDI guitar!+synth
Heya tribe,
I have written a proprietary synth in this format now,
called 2SYNth, here is the UI->
It's real simple in architecture.
I will add a mono mode and tuned fm in the next couple of weeks.
Also, I found the ver1.7 of the MIDI one would play a tone out too much.
I have changed it again a little. Smoothing the Chebyshev was too slow.
Version 1.7.1 is in the download.
If you'd like to try it the d/l link in the first post has been updated.
I will make demos for both of these releases hopefully today.
Cheers and imbibe the sweet melodies

Hi nix,
This was working great on my pc with Flowstone (3.08) under Fl Studio, till you put up 1.7.1. What changed? I would really like to keep keep following this. I may even have something to add.
Thanks, BobF.....

Re: 2SYN-hex MIDI guitar!+synth
Sorry Bob, I'm building it in FS 3.9.2,
and when I tried to save as 3.8, it still errors in 3.8.
I can try to get you a discount on 3.9.2?
That's real nice to hear it was working OK.
I have had no feedback from anyone who has tried it.
I have updated again, d/l in first post.
Also here is the synth, with a clean patch, ie. no hard sync->

Re: 2SYN-hex MIDI guitar!+synth
So, after hearing from BobF-
I wanted to get this to open in 3.0.8.1.
I found it's the preset manager that was causing 'attempt to access file past it's end'.
Also string array handling is a little different.
-- so it opens fine now, and I just popped the manager back in.
edit- the current version is now built in 3.0.8.1 again, so u can get it in the first post(11/9/16)
If you need the graphics, they are in the zip file from Sendspace.
Hope it's interesting!-
Nick
(edit- I just tested if they open in the new FL12.3 with the latest FLFS, and they do fine)

Heya again,
I have updated with better tracking.
Get it in the first post.
Here is Alchemy VSTi with slide on:-
https://soundcloud.com/nix808/2syn-alchemy-slide
The 3081 files are a little broken, but they do load.
I will fix and update them soon.
Cheers

Re: 2SYN-hex MIDI guitar!+synth
I got it,
I didn't realize the significance of your idea, so sorry-
and it slipped my mind to give you a hoy.
Thanks for the idea!
I will test it and get back to you.
Cheers!
I had a new thought too--
so harmonics are weak signals amplitude wise,
so I can use a power at the start of the detector.
The problem is that the high pitches are low in amplitude too.
It works pretty good, but like I say it attenuates the top frets as well as harmonics
...but your move is probably just killer!
