Re: Quilcom NEWERCHORD: Living in the past?

A chunk of time opened up that I wasn't expecting, so here's the emulative GUI based on my plug.

I made the panel of additional controls 'hide-able' - clicking on the 'Quilcom' logo reveals it. If you'd prefer it, another option would be a toggle switch on the far right of the main panel, where the ...

Re: Quilcom NEWERCHORD: Living in the past?

P.S.: I'm curious to see if the text I chose displays properly on other computers (was made on Win XP).

Hi K. Brown,
Nice UI, as I'm used to see.

In my case, the font readability can be improved a bit through "clear type" rendering setting, which is only accessible through ruby, as far as I ...

Re: Quilcom NEWERCHORD: Living in the past?

I don’t know how you can say that was a complete failure! You’ve captured the essence of the instrument really well in my view.
On my Windows 11 PC the text looks fine.

Here’s a few points:

The FULL TONE isn’t correct. When the 5 filters are OFF and FULL TONE is OFF, there should be no sound ...

Re: Quilcom NEWERCHORD: Living in the past?

I only had 16 2 valves handy.

Here's my naff version from a few years ago. I was more pedantic about sticking to 'rotary switch' controls, resonators don't do a helluvalot, etc., etc. Can't remember now why I chose that name.

As typical with me, it looks prettier than it works!

If you're ...

Re: Quilcom NEWERCHORD: Living in the past?

You just realized one of my fantasy projects that I failed miserably at.

If anyone could do it, it would be ye!

Re: My version of Martin's Organ won't work 64bit

Thanks, I'll send it to the person who emailed me with this issue; it still doesn't work for me with VSTHost, hopefully will work for him (and others).

Very frustrating. Maybe it's my computer/VSTHost, and not a problem with my version of FS4. Haven't had this issue with any other 64 plug I've made ...

Re: My version of Martin's Organ won't work 64bit

It's looking like the issue is my earlier version of FS4 just can't make a functioning VST from this schem for some reason.

Can some kind soul post a working 64 bit dll, so I can offer it to my 'customers'?

Even weirder - Martin said his VST2 export worked fine.

Re: My version of Martin's Organ won't work 64bit

Answered in first post; yes works fine when open in FS4 - only the exported VST is affected.

Also, if there was a problem in the schem, then Martin's export wouldn't have worked.

Re: My version of Martin's Organ won't work 64bit

Thanks for doing that, Martin.

I guess it must have something to do with the version I'm using - 3.0.9b2-2643-g42e98d6.

I just re-opened the orig FS3 schem into FS4 and exported a new VST, and still, no dice. Very weird.
