Re: The Quilcom SIM-BP: Simulate bagpipes. If you want.
Absolutely brilliant Spogg, gave a quick play in Savihost, love the sound. I have always like the bagpipe sounds and Celtic music. When I lived in Texas, I loved going to the Fireman's bagpipe and drums band concerts/competitions held annually in the small downtown area near where I lived. Bagpipe ...

Re: What is being used here an EQ or DB analyzer?
Here is a YouTube vid of some of my music where I used Sonic Candle as well as Sound Rider software for visualizations.

Also I think there are some online websites that will generate these kind of animated spectrum from an audio/music file.

Re: Is this software for dsp only?
@Yellow - don't get discouraged. Almost everyone here started out as you, some may have had a great background in programming, others in Synth hardware and electronic circuits, all of which can help. I started out with more of an interest in software synths and so read the Components and manual ...

Re: Modeling an Guitar Amp
@jesterstudios - unfortunately the SynthMaker forums no longer exist. So all my guitar amp stuff links pointing to that website no longer work. However, if you search this forum, you will find people have archived the Synthmaker forum, modules, schematics, and materials that can be downloaded and ...

Re: Reading Loop points from WAV file - possible?
Not sure if this would be of any use but while researching SDR, I came across this reference to parsing a wav in C.

Maybe can glean some helpful hints, or convert code to assembler maybe, idk.

Re: Sound file previewing and organising...
Spogg, I use Sonic Explorer by ProXL for auditioning and previewing music loops and one shots on my Windows 7 PC. Not as fancy as the Aural Probe you reference but it played a lot of different types of audio formats. However, when I went to the author's website, it is shut down and the download is ...

Glad you got it sorted out. This website has some great information on logging and connection of sensors and measurement equipment as well as some good software tools for com port debugging/communications:

Re: Problem with Comport RS232 Send
@Megan
I had a similar problem with the RS232 Comport communication in my On-Board Diagnostic (OBD-II) vehicle project. It had to do with sending the line terminus as string or ASCII as I recall. The discussion is here if you want to read and see if any of it helps. As I only have the free version ...

Re: Filling the gap- community mixing/mastering fx project(s
This is a topic I have done a lot of research on as part of attempts at mastering my amateur music I work on from time to time. However, the more I read articles on mastering, it became apparent that there were lots of schools of thought on how to approach it and many different suggestions to the ...
